Latest v2.10 on Google Play and Amazon Appstore

v2 to works on newer android versions including 13. Has not been tested on 14 yet.

Please note that v1.42 has not been tested on v6 of Android

This app does work on the new Android 5 devices, however upon testing on a real device e.g. NVidia Shield that the default App icon is missing from the main screen, and is replaced with the default android icon.

The following steps are a workaround to get the audio output from Robot Talk v2 to another device supporting audio output. This has been tested with Google Home, Robot Talk v2, Google Nest Mini speaker, and a Samsung Phone running android 13.

  1. Run up Robot Talk, get it in a ready to play mode. Not actually playing though.
  2. Run up Google Home
  3. Goto devices
  4. Select a device with audio playback capability
  5. Set volume, then click on 'Cast my audio'
  6. Go back to Robot Talk, and click Play
  7. Hopefully, you should hear the audio playback on the selected device

The following steps are how you change between Dark/Light mode for Robot Talk v2

  1. Force stop Robot Talk - (go to settings, then choose apps option, then select Robot Talk from the list of apps, then select the force stop option).
  2. Go to settings.
  3. Click on the display option.
  4. In dark mode settings select dark/light.
  5. Open Robot Talk.

  • Synthesis Data Installer runs - this may occur even though the data has been installed, but you have manually removed the sdcard/you are running your device under a piece of software like samsung kies which loads the sdcard as a removable device on your computer.
  • Samsung devices copy and paste bug - see Guardian Article on bug
