The current app can play HLS streams, but currently does not display its Song data (this will be available soon after more testing.) It is known that not all HLS streams transmit song data in the stream.
I have been testing HLS streams with both SomaFM (inc. song data) and BBC Radio stations 1-6 (unable to get song data)Latest iOS 13+ version has 2 new stations - 'Echoes of Bluemars - Cryosleep' and 'Echoes of Bluemars - Words From Within'
Please note that the Dropbox feature does not work, if you have the Dropbox app installed
The iPad version can also run on a Mac desktop or Apple Vision Pro
You can try to control this app via Voice control on iOS 13+ - for further info see - Control iPhone with your voice
In New Age Player, you can click on the AirPlay button on the player screen.
This will then display an AirPlay Audio button on the screen
Next click on this button to switch between your iphone/ipad, and an AirPlay compatible device
Please note, if you have loads of compatible devices, it takes longer for them to be loaded onto the list
- Go to the Settings Screen, via the Settings icon
- Go to Display & Brightness, via the Display & Brightness option from the list on the Settings screen
- On the Display & Brightness screen, in the Appearance section, you have 3 options regarding switching between Light/Dark. Manually select Light or Dark, or enable Automatic mode.
- Go to the Settings Screen, via the Settings icon
- Go to Notifications, via the Notifications option from the list on the Settings screen
- On the Notifications screen, scroll down and select 'New Age Player', from the list of Apps
- At the top of the screen is the option 'Allow Notifications'.If it is green then the Alarms functionality is enabled in the App. Otherwise Alarm functionality is disabled in the App
